Teams and shared projects
How a team workspace works — one plan on the workspace, the seats it includes, and the projects everyone shares.
A team workspace is built around two ideas: the workspace carries one plan, and the team shares its projects. There is no pooled "calculation balance" to watch or top up — layout generation runs are unlimited on every paid plan, so the thing a team manages together is its projects, not a quota.
The plan lives on the workspace, not on individual accounts. The plan's included seats cover the people working in it, and the projects created there are visible to everyone on the team.
How a workspace plan and seats work
The workspace subscribes to one plan (Basic, Pro, or Pro Plus), billed per workspace, monthly or annually. Annual billing is the anchor and saves roughly 23% (about two and a half months free) versus paying monthly. Applicable taxes are extra.
Each plan includes seats — 1 (Basic), 3 (Pro), 5 (Pro Plus) — and seats determine how many people can work in the workspace. As the team grows, add more seats as an add-on: $50 per seat / month on annual billing, $65 per seat / month on monthly billing.
An admin or owner subscribes from the Billing page in the dashboard. Checkout runs through Stripe (major credit and debit cards), and a confirmation email and receipt follow each charge. The workspace plan tier determines which features the team can use — see Plans for the full tier breakdown:
- Basic — boundary import through table and inverter layout.
- Pro — everything in Basic, plus lightning arrester placement and cable length / quantity / trench estimation.
- Pro Plus — everything in Pro, plus yearly energy and monthly generation estimates, third-party TMY analysis, major BOM, and optional per-project expert services.
Shared projects and caps
The projects created in a team workspace are shared across the team — any member can open, continue, or hand off a shared project. Each plan carries standing caps on per-project site area and on the number of active projects:
- Site area (per project) — each project's site can be up to 200 ac (Basic), 1,000 ac (Pro), 10,000 ac (Pro Plus, certified up to 10,000 acres). This is a per-project limit, not a total across projects.
- Active projects (per workspace) — 10 (Basic), 30 (Pro), 100 (Pro Plus).
These caps are standing limits, not a monthly reset. When you run out of room for new projects, delete projects you no longer need to free space, or move up a plan. Layout generation runs themselves are unlimited — there is no per-run charge, so members can re-run a layout as many times as a bid needs.
The area cap applies to each project on its own, and the active-project cap applies across the whole workspace. The workspace's owner and admins manage its plan and seats; members design within it.
Trying it first
Every new account starts with a Pro Plus Trial — 5 full-featured calculations, no credit card required. A new member can run the complete workflow end to end on the trial, then subscribe the workspace to a plan to keep working with the team.
Support
Support scales with the workspace's plan. Every plan can file an in-app support ticket from the Support page. Pro and Pro Plus include a priority support SLA that Basic does not — Pro within 2 business days, Pro Plus within 8 business hours.

Common questions
- "How does my team get billed?" The workspace carries one plan, billed per workspace from the Billing page; there is no shared balance to top up. The plan's included seats (1 / 3 / 5) cover the team, and you can add more seats ($50 per seat / month annual, $65 per seat / month monthly). Annual billing saves roughly 23% versus monthly. Applicable taxes are extra.
- "We're out of room for new projects." Active-project and per-project area caps are standing limits, not a monthly reset. Delete projects the team no longer needs to free room, or move the workspace up a plan for a higher cap.
- "Did cancelling a run cost us anything?" No. Layout generation runs are unlimited on every paid plan, so cancelling or a failed run costs nothing — just re-run.
