Plans & quotas

SolarLayout is a per-workspace subscription — one plan per workspace, billed monthly or annually, with a set number of seats (user slots) included and more available as an add-on. New accounts start on the Pro Plus Trial — 5 calculations with the full product unlocked — so you can run the complete workflow end to end before you subscribe. When you're ready, pick a plan on the Billing page.

Plans

Each plan is priced per workspace, per month, and includes a set number of seats. Annual billing is the anchor and saves roughly 23% versus paying monthly. Applicable taxes extra.

Prices are per workspace, per month, billed monthly or annually (annual is shown as a yearly total at checkout). Each plan includes seats — Basic 1, Pro 3, Pro Plus 5. Need more people in a workspace? Add seats at $50 per seat / month on annual billing, or $65 per seat / month on monthly billing.

Features are cumulative — each plan includes everything in the plan below it:

• Basic — KMZ / KML boundary import (multi-area); MMS table & inverter placement; KMZ, DXF, and PDF export.
• Pro — everything in Basic plus lightning arrester (LA) placement; cable length & quantity estimation; cable trench details.
• Pro Plus — everything in Pro plus yearly energy estimate; monthly generation profile; third-party TMY analysis; major BOM; and optional per-project expert services. Energy output (yearly energy, monthly generation, third-party TMY) is Pro Plus only — Basic and Pro cover layout and cabling.

Layout generation runs are unlimited on every paid plan — there is no per-run or per-calculation charge. What each plan bounds instead is the site area per project and the number of active projects in the workspace (see Area and project caps).

The Pro Plus Trial

Every new account starts with a Pro Plus Trial — 5 full-featured calculations, no credit card required. Trial signups get every feature — layout placement, exclusion zones, cable routing, energy yield, and generation estimates — for those 5 calculations, so you can evaluate the whole product end to end before paying. After the 5 trial calculations are used the trial is exhausted; subscribe to a plan to continue.

The trial is the only place a calculation count applies. On paid plans runs are unlimited and nothing is metered per calculation.

Area and project caps

Each plan sets a per-project site-area cap and a standing number of active projects per workspace. These are limits on what you can hold at once, not a monthly allowance that resets:

The area cap applies per project — each project's site can be up to its plan's limit, and Pro Plus is certified for plants up to 10,000 acres. The active-project cap is per workspace. To free room under it, delete projects you no longer need — the cap is the number of projects open at one time, so removing old projects makes room for new ones. If you consistently need a larger site, more projects, or more seats, move up a plan or add seats.

Where to subscribe

Subscribing happens on solarlayout.app:

• Sign in / sign up at solarlayout.app.
• Dashboard → Billing, then pick Basic, Pro, or Pro Plus and choose monthly or annual billing.
• Stripe handles the transaction (major credit/debit cards). You get a confirmation email and receipt.

Your plan lives on the workspace; sign in with your account (email) from any browser to reach it, with nothing to install.

Changing or cancelling your plan

• Unlimited runs mean nothing to refund per run. Cancelling a run, or a run that fails entirely, doesn't consume or refund anything — you simply re-run. (Calculations only count during the 5-calc Pro Plus Trial.)
• Changing plans adjusts your per-project area cap, active-project cap, and included seats to the new plan. If you move to a plan with a lower active-project cap, you may need to delete projects to fit under it.

Expert services

Pro Plus can add optional per-project expert services, arranged on a "Contact us" basis through the Contact page:

• Detailed design review & consultancy
• Detailed engineering
• Grading & levelling estimation

Support

Every plan can file an in-app support ticket. Pro and Pro Plus include a priority support SLA; Basic and the trial do not have a committed first-reply window.

Business hours are 09:00–18:00 (local business time) on weekdays. The window covers the first reply on a new ticket; subsequent replies in the same thread carry the same commitment.

Plan and usage visibility

Your plan and how much of its caps you're using are visible:

• On the Billing page — under Plan & usage, showing your current plan, billing period (monthly or annual), seats in use, and how many active projects you're using against your workspace's cap. Open Billing from the sidebar, or from the account menu (top-right) → Billing.
• On the Dashboard — your active projects and each project's site area, against your plan's per-project area cap and the workspace's active-project cap.

When you reach your active-project cap, the next new project is gated — delete a project you no longer need, or move up a plan, to make room.

Working as a team?

A plan is billed per workspace, and each plan includes seats (Basic 1, Pro 3, Pro Plus 5) — so a team workspace's plan covers the people in it, with additional seats available as the team grows ($50 per seat·mo on annual billing, $65 on monthly). The workspace shares projects so a bid team can work on the same projects together; there is no pooled "calculation balance," and layout runs are unlimited. Caps and billing are scoped to the workspace, not the individual: the active-project cap (10 / 30 / 100) is per workspace, the site-area cap applies per project, and the workspace's owner and admins manage the plan, seats, and billing. See Team workspaces.
